Working- in a camp

Work camps were where the workers were housed while they were working on the pyramid. Run down but a roof over your head.......NOT. They usually did not have roofs. Just walls.Way different than our houses now a days. Amazing how different but similar we all are.Kinda weird right. At this first glimpse AKA the picture at the top you can tell it wasn't much but did protect them from animals. So they called it home. Although not very good. Because it did not rain there really was no use for a roof. They houses were made out of bundles of plant. Not very water prof like wood but on the other hand there was no wood in Egypt. They had to import all of it. Expensive. They Pharaohs wouldn't want to pay that much for all the workers. I am not saying the Pharaohs were bad people but it was way to expensive. For instance your parents going out right now and buying a brand new Hummer with cash. I know that some of your parents will be able to do it but not everybody can. And imagine your parents buying one for every body in the US. That's the point I am trying to get across.
